About me

A bit about my experience and qualifications:

As a Chartered Physiotherapist

I am a HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist with over 10 years experience in treating people with musculoskeletal injuries both in the NHS and Private sector.

I have experience treating a broad range of problems with a special interest in back, neck and shoulder problems, as well as doing horse rider specific body condition assessments.

I have completed Masters level training in Advanced Clinical Practice and X-rays interpretation, as well as further training on Spinal MRI interpretation. I have also completed postgraduate training in Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Trigger point release, Kinetic Control techniques and Maitland Mobilisation.

I am fortunate to live in a particularly beautiful area of Derbyshire and in my spare time enjoy walking our dogs, spending time with my family, rock climbing, and riding my horse.

..as a Veterinary Physiotherapist

I completed a Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2011 at The Royal Veterinary College and am proud to be both an ACPAT and RAMP registered Chartered Physiotherapist.

I have previously worked in two canine hydrotherapy units in Ashbourne and Sutton-in-Ashfield as well as Grove Vets in Buxton. I have also taught as visiting lecturer on the Veterinary Physiotherapy Masters Course in Nottingham and organised Professional Development sessions for local ACPAT Physiotherapists.

I have a special interest in Dressage although do enjoy doing a bit of everything with my horse.  We have worked up to Medium level to date and have been fortunate to compete at various Regional and Petplan Championships together.

I work closely with many of the vets in my area and take on a mixture of veterinary referrals and self referrals.
